needs music like tony hawk games
hip hop
alt rock
and reggae could be could(never seen it in a game)
not pop
better fx
splash
and crashing sounds etc
better layout and style of buttons and menus

Personally I load up Winamp and play MP3s while I'm playing, and many new games have mp3 players built right into the game (GTA3, the sims). The problem with this is you must pay royalties to Fraunhofer, I believe.
1) Adding music makes the game bigger, which is bad for a game that is distributed via the net.
2) Most games I play don't hit my taste in music, so I turn it off anyway.
3) Just pop your favourite CD in the drive and listen to that.
