I hope everybody knows what  Mirc is But is it not an idea if we start a pontifex channel or something? For the beta test to start with, much easier to discuss a problem there.

I already use Mirc for my counterstrike clan. And i'm running a bot myself. So I'll start a mirc channel now. And see if some people join.

For the people who dont know Mirc:
It's a program used by communities, it's a place where people meet in a kind of chatroom. Not just a chatroom! It's so much more. You have operators wich control the channel, and people join and talk or just idle there. It's just a place where you can find people with the same intrest and directly chat with them. It can really boost a community and make it a bit more personal.

go to www.mirc.com for the client and follow the instructions. If you need any help post it here and i'll try to help you. Maybe some people can put the channel name on their site or something (if they agree it's a good idea ofcourse ;) ).

You'll find me there with the name hw|Blue (where hw is my clan tag for counterstrike and Blue is my nickname).  

Important people will be granted the operator flag.

The channel has a official service bot now and is now officially opened :biggrin:

Good idea, an IRC channel can be useful in many ways. During the beta test stage, we could even chat with the developers directly (!)...
I think I'll be joining it next week (when I have more time).

I will be in the Pontifex forum getting the beta started and to communicate with the beta testers.

Channel is up and running,

Just idle there if you can for now, Dont know what connections you guys have. But with my DSL connection i'm always online.

There's a bot running there with the name: ^Panda^ (dont laugh ). It's running on my server here at home. He will be online 24/7 if possible. I'll be online when i'm home.

Dont mind the people who are in the channel right now Just some of my friends. I needed 4 people to ask for a special bot. But there were no other people (hint hint) in the channel from the pontifex community. So I asked them to join the channel for 2 houres starting now.

They'll be gone end of the day/night/morning or whatever the time is where you live
