Title: I discovered a new kind of rope!
Post by: Pigbuster on October 19, 2004, 01:10:16 AM
It never says it in the walkthrough, but if you hold down 0 (zero) when making a rope, It will make a cyan line. It will be a Bungee piston! A bar that stretches and springs back. Its insane!
Also, the light type 2 is used for the start light on the dragster levels. More! The game type 16 makes it so that things like ropes freeze in place and Gish and Grey can float around with the movement keys! Game types 2-9 are all the same: a menu-less story type level that Grey can move around in. Apparently the help file isn't telling us everything!  :p

So... lights that are type 2 can be turned on by a switch or something? I'm gonna have to check this out.

Sure it didn't! I also figured out more than what gisheditor.txt told me (some of it spread around the forum).

Gametype 16 = no gravity.
ANY unknown Gametype does what 2-9 do.
Ltype 2 = in gisheditor.txt

Just make a link to a switch, like everything else you can activate. Lights which are on turn off when you activate the switch. CL: flickering off is missing.

Oh yeah. It does mention light type 2 in the txt, but why? It says light off. Isn't that the same as zero? :p

0 = no light
1 = light on
2 = light off
3 = flickering light on

The difference between no light and light off is just like in reality: no light will not give any light when you turn it on, but a light which is off will.
