Title: Piston Help
Post by: mr.gibblet on August 29, 2005, 10:59:31 PM
I need help with a piston...

Im making a Campaign and on the 3rd level i cant get this piston to raise an object attached to a sphere that the piston is effecting...

But when i start the piston goes haywire and breaks the chain...

And the piston is linked to a switch... I held K and clicked the switch...

Why does it do that???

I have a Push piston on the right of the sphere and a pull piston on the right of the sphere and a half pulled piston on the middle...

Is that correct? ???

This is how it looks when i dont even press the switch/when it goes haywire:

Why does it do that?
And why you dont see any chains is because there already on the ground.

If you want me to help, post either:
- A more detailed description.
- The level or a reduced test case.

I solved it by reconnecting the pistons. ??? Maybe you used the wrong type? (can't check because the editor doesn't allow me to, and I don't know yet which number is which anchor on an object)

How???

What are the types now and where did you connect them?

Hold 1 Left Click = Add light rope
Hold 2 Left Click = Add heavy rope
Hold 3 Left Click = Add light chain
Hold 4 Left Click = Add Heavy chain
Hold 5 Left Click = Add a push piston
Hold 6 Left Click = Add half pushed piston
Hold 7 Left Click = Add a pull piston
Hold 8 Left Click = Add half pulled piston
Hold 9 Left Click = Add Bar

- half pulled piston (hold 8) from anchor to left of circle
- pull piston (hold 7) from anchor to bottom of circle
- half pushed piston (hold 6) from anchor to right of circle
