General Discussion / nVidia->ATi DX wrapper?
September 28, 2003, 08:49:22 PM
-=| ChronicLogic. Please delete this if you find this inappropiate in your forum. |=-

I know that there exists an OpenGL wrapper for the ATi line to be able to run the nVidia Fairy demo. Does such a wrapper exist for DirectX?
It was my plan when HL2 came out I would buy an ATi card, but now I'm not so sure. I could buy a GFFX card and don't care about the lesser quality, but then nVidia will get away with this PR stunt. I would really like to play this game, but I'm more hooked on the ATi 9800pro.

[EDIT]
That won't help anyway as it's the program itself that does the GF4/FX checking.

General Discussion / Bridge It announced
September 27, 2003, 03:00:38 PM
I hope it's playable on a GF2. ;D
I guess not but I'll try anyway.

While downloading that massive demo I had a look around on your site about Bridge It. And according to the following I can't complain on the nVidia/others issue:

"Q: I understand that Chronic Logic was not involved with developing Bridge It for NVIDIA cards only. I understand that Chronic Logic did not sell their souls. I understand that without NVIDIA Bridge It would not exist. I understand that serious problems face this world such as wars, nuclear proliferation, world hunger, and Ben and J-Lo's wedding. However I still want to write Chronic Logic and complain about Bridge It (a game made by NVIDIA) only working on NVIDIA cards. I also want to tell them I will no longer support them by purchasing their products even though I never did. I understand that everyday I purchase products from huge corporations that exploit other humans worldwide while destroying the environment, but I think Chronic Logic is worse and deserves my personal attention. I want to tell Chronic Logic I am so pissed off I won't even support them by pirating their games anymore, what can I do?

A: Then please send your comments to mailto:hatemail@chroniclogic.com">hatemail@chroniclogic.com"

Brilliant, just brilliant.

BCS General / Cars keep falling through the deck.

Instead of falling thru the deck, they should stop and make smoke as if they're broke. Maybe the wheels can fall off and bounce off the bridge.

Imagination
If the cars hit the deck very hard they should explode with a large mushroom cloud and destroy a part of the bridge. ;)

Here's what I've noticed.
If a beam is connected vertically upwards to a joint, then it is connected to the left side. And if a beam is connected vertical downwards it is connected to the right side. And of course beams tilting left from the joint is connected to the left side and vice versa.

Yeah, fits the posture Homer ecxactly did when he said the quote below, except he had closed his eyes.
Just need to make the background invisible. Anyone remeber what color that is?

Chillum:
Nice to see the good old record gang is still pontifexers.

BTW: What do you guys think of Pontifex II? (Without the current beta-bugs ;)

How many did you have to beat? I'm looking for a final reason to throw Linux on my web&mailserver which have been down a couple of months. I've given it the final warning to behave.

Can you delete avatars?
I've got one with invisible background, but it won't let me upload it 'cause it already exist. DUH! :)

Over a year. Missed 6 contest. And the Pontifex II Pre-Order. Bugger!

In the middle of August I moved away from my friends (and enemies?) to study. So now I have time to make some records in Pontifex II. I see I still have one record left in Pontifex I.

Really glad to see that Pontifex II is due soon. (date?)

BTW: When did you become the moderator of the forums Grey?

BCS General / Need ability for building curved decks
October 26, 2002, 03:41:51 PM
I like way I can build suspension cables. Would it be to much to ask to add that feature to decks. Because even when using HDgrid it is hard to make a usuable deck for cars, when they fall thru the deck so easily.

Are the suspension cable touching the middle? or are you using a normal cable for that?

Why don't your Bboard require that the user bought the game? I mean anyone can post records there.
