BCS General / Bug: Same bridge, different results!

Make sure the level has some wind setting.  This will make sure that bridges with no cross support do not take a while before they collape sideways.

Could always make textures an option so people with the slower systems could turn it off http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Next Version Ideas / rewriting of the Mouse Control

If the game is going really really slow and you think it should not be (other people here are running it fine with weaker systems) then you need to check your opengl drivers, if your card does not have the right opengl drivers it will try and run it in software mode which is going to go VERY slow no matter how fast your system is.

Problems / crash under Win2k

Humm, then the only thing i could think of is your video drivers, have you tried using different ones? Are you using the ones that came with your card? You might wanna just try some different ones and see if that helps.  Or try turning off the sound and run it for a while see if it crashs.  Or try in a lower res maybe, or update your directx? just some ideas, your CPU is not overclocked right? :)

Try Checking your CPU temperature in your bios after you crash, Ponifex is a CPU intensive game, maybe your CPU is not cooling properly and after 30 mins its getting hot?  Also Athlon 1.33 run pretty hot to start with, heh

It should be fast enough to run the game, do you have OpenGL drivers install for your voodoo card?

If you have not been able to run Pontifex since you got windows XP you probably still just need OpenGL drivers for windows XP.  I dont think that Chroniclogic is going to be writing any video drivers for you, so you should probably look for help from the company that makes your video card.  What kind of card is it?

General Discussion / Best HW platform

Like people have said before its all about the CPU, as long as you have a decent video card with opengl support then you just need a good cpu, i have a thunderbird 1.4 gig and a geforce2 card and ponifex runs great :)  Also in the beta it showed the fps and it ran around 70 on mine if i remember correctly
