I've been running XP for about 6 months now, and i've had exactly 3 crashes, as opposed to about 3 a day with 98.  I haven't had any compatibility problems either.  i love it.

maybe a richtor scale for the earthquake thing so you could quantitatively say how earthquake resistant a structure is...  like, enter a number, press the button, and presto, an earthquake of specified magnatude and specific duration.  that'd be cool.

Next Version Ideas / Concrete

I think concrete would rock if they made it analogous to cable, except for compression instead of tension.  That would allow some crazy-cool bridges to be made.

Next Version Ideas / Pre-tensioning Cables

From a realism front, though, Bridges aren't built in 0G as they are in pontifex.  they don't suddenly appear and flop around.  the cables ARE pre-tensioned.  Being able to adjust the tension would enable you to take on larger, more difficult gaps, make more advanced bridges, and lower the cost of current bridges.

That said, with some level redesigning, the game would be much improved.

From a coding standpoint, however, pre-tensioning would be a bitch to code.  But then again, phizicks engines are bitches, and ChronicLogic seems pretty adept at writing those...

In conclusion, OG WANT PRE-TENSIONING!

Please impliment it, CL!

on further thought, pre-tensioning could lead to some whacky designs working, such as:

maybe thats why they don't have pre-tensioning....

Bad analogy, mendel, you can (almost) copy and paste skins.  It may take some monkeying, but you wouldn't have to use the sims engine (who would want to, it sux0rs).  I know i'm just being picky however...

Entroper,

What about tha fact that members of the steel section can break without the whole thing breaking?  You wouldn't be able to see that!  it would make making a clean bridge harder for no reason!  BLARG!

i've made bridges that are ttable, clean, and 0bl, but only on hard.  they will not work in any other difficulty level.  i find that halarious...

While they don't have 'air resistance', per se, could they not inpliment a terminal velocity as faux air resistance?  Same deal with lots of programming stuff:  Make it look like you did more work than you actually did.

Is it not reasonable that a game impliments a common rule of phizzicks without the cause for the rule (ie: chicken, but no egg)?
