The overveiw is neat. I didn't know you could do that sort of stuff with gish. Was it hard to write the program to do it?

Gish Support / Gish keycode lost
January 07, 2007, 07:57:20 PM
Ah, thanks for moving it. I couldn't decide where to put it, and because the main topic was that I lost the keycode, I didn't think that was a technical problem. But I guess now it kind of is...

Anyways, thanks guys! I really apreciate the help! I eventually just decided to use the offline registration, and it worked fine. I still have no idea what caused the freezing, but it was most likely my firewall. Everything is working fine now, so thanks again!

And your saying theres going to be a... Next Patch? Oh yay! I've been hoping for a new patch sometime.

Gish Support / Gish keycode lost
December 31, 2006, 06:13:48 AM
Thanks so much, I didn't expect a reply that quickly. I have yet to try this, as my mom's email was changed, but hopefully the email will be forwarded to her new email. I'm very glad I can get it back, thanks again!

EDIT: Okay, great, I got the keycode back, and downloaded gish. But now I've got another problem. When I try to register gish, I type in the keycode, then it goes to the screen that says "connecting..." and seems to freeze my computer. I waited about 10-15 minutes with it like that and nothing seemed to happen. It wouldn't respond to Ctrl-Alt-Delete, either. Its very strange. If theres no solution to this then I can always register using the offline option, but if this is possible to fix easily, then I'd rather register online.
Thanks again!

Gish Support / Gish keycode lost
December 30, 2006, 07:49:08 AM
Well, heres the story in short-form. I also hope I'm posting this in the right place..

My family and I were going to Oregon for vacation, and our car was broken into overnight when we stayed at a motel. I lost my laptop, which had gish on it, and had the keycode stupidly taped to the bottom of it. Or maybe I did something else with the code, but the point is its lost. Is there a way to get it back, or am I going to have to buy gish again? And if i do get the code back, where can I re-download gish?
When I bought gish I had the keycode sent to my mom's email adress, and since then the folder she had the email in was deleted somehow.
I had my mom search all of her emails for it, and I searched all mine (I might have sent it to myself for backup), but we didn't find anything. While searching through my sent emails today I did find the order number though. Would that help in getting back the keycode?

I just hope theres a way to get it back. I feel really stupid for not saving it in a good place...

Oh! Haha! The old record's replay was there when I downloaded gish! I had no idea it was you who did that! I couldn't even come close to beating that collection level, let alone getting under 41 seconds on it. Wow.

No, i'd say you haven't lost your skill...

EDIT: oh wait.. That wasn't you in the already-in-gish replay, was it? The roy sawyers person got about 38 seconds in that level. hmmm...

Gish Editor / White tiles in editor
June 26, 2006, 05:00:01 AM
Ok, thanks for helping. I'll experement with the tileset editor thing and see what else I can figure out about it, then maybe I'll post a level.
Off topic, but do you know of any good websites I could save levels to so that I can post them?

Gish Editor / White tiles in editor
June 25, 2006, 05:03:37 PM
Whenever I use the editor, when I look through all the tiles by pressing q or z, alot of the tiles are white. All of the tiles from number 169 to 250 are white, along with tiles 153 to 159. I'm guessing this is normal, but I'm wondering if there is a way to get around it. It seems to get alot worse when I load tilesets. For example, some of the white tiles will have messed up border lines, or already have a set breakpoint. Some of the tiles might be normal, but then after going out of the editor and then in again, they will become white. Its very strange!
Do you know any way to fix this?
