Pros & cons of Fat Gish/Mini Gish?

Mini seems to take an enormous amount of damage from falls if not heavy, Fat would have more trouble with spikes... Scores are reseted after losing all lives so survival is a top priority as well. Also wondering if either would be better suited for a maximum coin run instead of normal sized Gish.
