Who developed and is updating Bridge Project?

I bought Bridge Project thinking it was the next evolution of Chronic Logic's excellent bridge building games.

After playing it a couple days I've realized it's a bit different in terms of simulation and appears to not be developed by Chronic Logic, but by Halycon Media, Caipirinha Games and Invent4. All documentation included points to either www.halycon.de or www.bridgeproject-game.com.

So now I'm unsure if I should have purchased Bridge-It instead.

What is the plan moving forward for Bridge-It and Bridge Project? Are they related?

If you would like Bridge It instead of Bridge Project I would be happy to exchange them for you, just send an e-mail to support with your order information: http://www.chroniclogic.com/contact_form.php?section=support

Bridge It and Bridge Project are not related, they are separate games.  Neither is a sequel of a previous game.  Bridge It is based on Bridge Construction Set but but it not a sequel.  It is actually more limited in game-play and bridge building options.  It also lacks a level editor.  Bridge It does have much better graphics and user interface then BCS.  Bridge Project is a entirely new bridge building game and includes several features that Bridge It and Bridge Construction Set do not have such as online high scores, wood and cement building materials and additional testing vehicles (buses and tanks).  Its graphics are also much better then BCS or Bridge It and it includes a level editor which Bridge It does not.  Bridge It was developed by a company called Auran with help from Nvidia.  In the last couple years I have taken over updating Bridge It and released the add-on pack and most recent updates for it.

If anyone asks I still say Bridge Construction Set is the best bridge building game, it is just lacking in graphics which a lot of people can't look past in which case I recommend Bridge It or Bridge Project.

Thanks for the quick and informative reply Josiah.

After diving into the history of the bridge game genre it appears that I am actually looking for Pontifex III which is still under development by Alex Austin (and you?)

It's amazing how confusing this is.

As far as I know Pontifex III development is currently on hold.

Interesting. Is there a way to encourage you guys to continue working on it?  ;D I am enjoying Bridge Project, but I was hoping to support chronic logic and pontifex development more directly with my purchase.
