Even on 'hard', I reach the limit every time, without trouble...
Guess that's what a demo is about http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Is my PC playing tricks on me or does the 6.6.02 demo have a corrupted lightnin.wav?

Double post -_-;;;

Anyway, the pic above is significant because I let my brother play and he succesfully managed to get the red piece to balance on top of two other red pieces without charging up. =D

did Brian shut up yet or did you stab him with the Q-tip?

Q-tips violent crimes isnt the only thing on the rise...

Well, with continuing my tradition of being too broke to get the full versions of shareware games, I found (find http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>) it fun to mash up the triptych demo has hard as I can.

I've found a bug - You know those pieces which are three-of-the-same color and are charged up right from the start? Well, it is possible to press spacebar to "drop" those pieces when parts of them are still over the red line.

This in itself is not the bug - However, if the next piece in line has a tile the same color as the previous pre-charged piece, AND overlaps the area where the pre-charged piece was when you hit spacebar, that tile also starts charged up.

Its a minor annoyance, and it happens like in 1/1,000,000 (I should know, I've been playing this demo nonstop for a long time now and its occured only once for me ;) ) but I thought you people would like to know.

BTW, my high score for the demo is 49025 on Hard, with a High Bonus of 1300. Pretty nifty, considering I get three measly levels to work with. =P There's usually never enough time to get anything more than 30k. Screenshots forthcoming, as soon as I have access to my web host again.

Edit: Spoke too soon, my high score is now 56500, with a High Bonus of 1400 ;P

Methinks the corners have an insensitive area to keep a checkerboard pattern from charging up when it is lightly compressed - haven't checked this assumption thoroughly yet, though.

In the title screen, the dot in "i" turns green when klicked... Can't figure out if it really does anything. Can you?

Has anyone tried Triptych yet?
I really like it, pushing and squeezing blocks around... The decade-old concept of columns still has potential!

The only 'problem' I have noticed is that sometimes blocks that look like they're touching don't energize until squeezed together properly - maybe the 'sensivity' should be increased a little bit...?

Yes they have to do more then just touch, they have to be in a certain proximity to each other, smashing em together always helps http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>  If anyone has any high scores, lets post em here, i would like to see what people can get, we have been playing this a bunch and have some pretty good scores.

So far my best score is 35175 on Hard in the demo...

P.S. I guess it was the wrong forum for this topic ;)

Triptych is a cool game but has the standard-problem every tetris-based game has.

I'm colorblind to red and green (Don't know the correct word in english, sorry) and have therefor serios problems to tell the green and yellow bricks apart.

So what's really needed in Triptych is a option to select the color-scheme of the brick manualy.

Apart from that: COOOL Game http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>

I think a feature that would enhance the game in a good way would be a 'custom game' option with adjustable 'board' size, number of colors, drop time, game speed, gravity, etc. - for those who get bored with the standard game and/or want to experiment...

Also, I can imagine an 'enhanced' game mode with special blocks/powerups, for example if you manage to fill the bonus bar completely, a (controllable) 'ball lightning' could appear that energizes multiple blocks of the same color even if they are a short distance apart...

Additionally http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> . the block textures should be put in a .bmp file so that the player can replace them with his own.
