We are thinking of changing the earthquakes, so they will produce the same result for a specific bridge everytime.  This would make it possible to use them as a scoring system (this bridge can withstand a level 3 earthquake).  Any feedback?

Are you using the earthquakes in V1.30?  They are even weaker then the ones in v1.25 where, they are also consistent, so if you bridge stands up to a level 1 once it will always survive.  Keeping as little mass as possible above the bridge seems to be the key to bridges lasting through earthquakes.

Wait....there are earthquakes in Pontifex II? How did I miss these?  http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>

Make sure you are running v1.25 and then use any cheat  code or load any level/bridge and you will see quake on the top right side of the screen.  We are currently changing how earthquake will work, so look for a patch which will update them soon http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Maybe my bridge designs are too crummy or something, but it seems to me that the earthquakes are too powerful.  Ive only had one bridge that could stand up to a level 1 earthquake let alone anything higher.  (Extra01 with the all cable suspension)

Even my small stout bridges seem to be destroyed by the weakest earthquakes.

And then a level 8 earthquake is so extreme that the barges are being flung around and stuff.

I personally think that all the earthquake levels should be taken down half a notch or somethign (?)

Just my opinion though and maybe it is due to my lack of bridge building skills (?)
