VS Game Suggestion

I guess we might see some more VS games in the future, and this one should be quite easy to realize: volley ball. Two blobs, a net in the middle and one ball. Which is not allowed to touch the ground. The alternate version could feature some (moving?) mid-air obstacles who spice things a little more up and could make the ball bounce around.

I think they could expand on dragster, because i thought it was boring. You could have obstacles, enemies, like a mini level! And near the end, the bar seperating the 2 players could disappear, and you would fight to the end!

I'd be most interested in a gametype like the current Dragster, only racing vertically up an obstacle course instead of horizontally. I think that'd require a bit more skill than the horizontal racing.

Sumo is great fun, though.

I'd like to see more deathmatch, personally... Less spike kills, and more having to crush the other player. Maybe a time limit, to keep games from dragging on...
Internet would be awesome, but the amout of player interaction would mean HEAPS of netcode and a truckload of lag... I can't see that one coming along any time soon http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

I don't think this is possible without changing
the behaviour of the tar balls.
If you already got to the ending of the game,
you saw that you cannot crush your opponent
when he's pressing the 'heavy'-key.
So a deathmatch without spikes, lava or sort of that
would be endless.

SURVIVAL
The objective is to survive the longest and to kill as many enemies as you can. The game ends when both players die or after a certain amount of time. Enemies are spawned off screen and walk in to attack the two players, who are at the right or left. The arena will have places to hang from, ditches to fall in, and a couple hard to reach buttons surrounded by spikes that cause a bolder to come down and kill alot of enemies. The background could be enemies in a semi-circle watching in and the blocks could be normal sewer (1st level) blocks.

TAR-TAR-REVOLUTION
The objective is to press/do the indicated tasks. The players will be in seperate identical areas. They will be surrounded by colorful bricks with several gaps and weak spots. An indicator at the top will give commands like... S<\/  (Slide into the left shallow pit and when it disappears they get out)... or... C/\ (Cling to the ceiling and when it disappears they drop down)... The game would end when A) One player misses X commands... or B) After a certain amount of time when points for accurately completed goals is tallied... The background would be kids at an arcade gathered around watching and the bricks/lighting would be multicolored. {NOTE} I understand this is an extremly far-fetched idea and would be extremly difficult to make, but I thought I would just throw it out there.

KING OF THE HILL
The objective of this game is to stay on top of a hill for as long as you can. The players will start on opposite sides of a hill. There will be several buttons in corners of the room that make a rock slowly move towards the hill to push the other player off. After a certain amount of time, the game ends and the player who was on top for the longest time wins. The tileset and background does not matter.

BESIEGER
The objective of this game is for one player to reach a certain area in the room. The room, from right to left is... a high stone pillar that can be pushed over, rocks, one player, a high wall that has weak spots at the bottom (like a gate), several platforms and rocks, another player, and a treasure room. The player on the left must prevent the player on the right from entering the treasure room by pushing him, barricading areas, killing him, etc. The player on the right can scale the wall, push the pillar over to climb over, ram the "gate" (weak spot), kill the other player, etc. The tileset will be that of the church and the backround will be grass medieval type scenery.

It would also be very cool if there were two player missions/collection games where the players would have to work together to solve the puzzles.
