Trying to find it with a basic text editor is much more fun... I just did.

Just for the sake of completeness:
There is a secret warp zone in mario level which allows you to warp to levels 2-1, 3-1 and 4-1 respectively. It is located behind the exit tube, so you have to climb on top of the ceiling and continue walking to the right. There will be a room with three tubes.. the leftmost one brings you to 4-1. Very much mario style  http://www.pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

You don't have to beat the game in ludicrous to unlock mini mode, I won in easy and medium for a while and beat all the collections, and I somehow unlocked mini.

YAY! I BEAT IT IN MINI MODE TOO! http://pontifex2.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
This is a signature.

My son keeps asking me for cheat codes, but I tell him they are only for when you are really stuck on a level and are unable to progress, which usually results in the game being dumped. I found him googling for cheats the following day, lol.
He seems to cheat in every game he plays, and I've been trying to instil in him what cheating really means, and that games are made hard to challenge our brains.  He hasn't got the message yet though. (He sailed through a break out game that I'm still stuck on near the beginning, but only because he cheated to get through them. I asked him whats the point and he replied, I like winning;  but i said cheating isn't winning, whereupon, he stormed off saying i didn't understand.  Lol

I'll lay off the cheats as I think it just takes away the challenge and the playability.  My reasoning being that after I haven't played a game for several months I know there will still be new content that I haven't found, so I soon get back into the game.  I'm still playing the second version of doom because i haven't found all the secrets lol (only very occasionaly though as I find the blocky graphics awful now, even though when it was first released it was state of the art.

Just let your son. If the initial attempt didn't work, don't expect later attempts to work. Apparently he enjoys playing games this way at the moment, and I think interference is unlikely to do anything good or in the direction you intend. He might eventually get bored and decide to play games the 'normal' way. Nothing is better than getting there (or not) without interference.

Regarding the cheats in Gish, they're not particularly cheaty, in that they tend not to make it ludicrously easy (;-)).
