I don't want a complete answer, I just want a basic guideline on how to make a bridge for 'Medium 7'.
I just cant work it out.
I've even looked around the net for bridges that might work.
I just made an inverted arch of cable, with some beams of compression-resistant material to support the deck. Cheap (at least compared to the budget) and easy.
Edit: I recommend the forum of http://www.bridgebuilder-game.com/. The active bridge builders are there.
I`ve been stuck on complex 4 for to long....the only way I can see to build a bridge is to make the opposite bank a break joint yet the programme won`t let me,is the programme corrupt or am i missing something?
HELP!!!!!
I am stuck on medium 7. Need help passing it. Thank you
Here is a image of a quick Medium 7 bridge solution:

Hope that helps.
I hope people are still monitoring these boards after so long, but these are new games to me, and I'm loving 'em.
I finished Pontifex first, and now I'm working on Bridge It!
I am having a terrible time with Hard 6, the bridge made with only iron. I just can't get enough strength to make the distance no matter how I build things. I've tried having the road arch up, arch down. I've tried rectangles, triangles, and nothing seems to work.
I would sure appreciate a push in the right direction (or even a picture of the solution.
)
Thanks.
~Ken
This Hard 6 bridge is very tricky, due to the low amount of money available.
But still enough to build this (can be optimized)
Thanks so much. It was the lack of crossbars in those middle sections that made all the difference. It both reduced the weight and gave just enough money to add a bit more support on the ends. Excellent job. I'll have to keep that crossbar thing in mind on future projects.
I want to share with you this two different bridges.
The bridge with low arch, costs only 11330

I tried something similar to your first solution, but couldn't quite get it to work. Your 2nd solution is awesome, in that it doesn't look like it would even work. Again, it's that lack of cross pieces that makes that work. Good job.
Have you tried Bridge Construction Set already?
I finished Pontifex and BCS will be next after I'm done with this one.
Now I'm stumped on Complex 2. It's another iron one, and these just seem to get me. Iron can barely hold itself up, let alone anything else.
here it is: Complex 2 with two different designs.
The level: Complex2
The image:
Awesome. That round one is pretty complex all right. I went with the triangle version. I was pretty close to that one, but didn't have those double reinforced corners. Another lesson there.
OK. I made it past that one, and the next three. Now I'm on Complex 6, and I am at a loss to understand what I'm supposed to do.
Some clarification of the direction and orientation of the vehicles would be helpful for knowing what to build where.
The description says, "Using iron, steel and hydraulics, build a bridge to pass a complex 7 phase test. A truck drives from the bottom right to the top left tunnel. Then, a truck drives between the two bottom tunnels and a boat passes underneath. A truck then moves back across the bottom, a truck travels back down and finally a car drives across the top."
My questions:
Does the 2nd truck pass by AT THE SAME TIME the boat is going under?
Which direction do the 2nd, 3rd and 4th trucks travel?
Which direction does the final car go?
How many times are the hydraulics triggered in the test, and when does that happen?
Thanks for all the help. I'm almost done with this game. Gonna get BCS at the end of the week.
Can't answer to that question at the moment, because i'm away from home with a laptop.
But i promise to reply tomorrow.
------------------X------------------
OK! This is the right sequence:
1 - A truck drives from the bottom right to the top left tunnel.
2 - Hydraulics phase
3 - A truck drives to the left between the two bottom tunnels
4 - Hydraulics phase
5 - A truck then moves back (to the right) across the bottom and at the same time the boat passes underneath.
6 - Hydraulics phase
7 - A truck travels back down (from top left tunnel) and at the same time a car drives across the top to the right.
OK, this makes my head hurt just trying to figure out what has to happen at the same time.
During the resting phase of the hydraulics a truck has to go from bottom right UP to top left, AND a truck has to pass from bottom left to bottom right, somehow passing through the roadway the truck going up is traveling on.
During the activated phase of the hydraulics a truck has to drive from bottom right to bottom left OVER the boat AND a truck traveling from top left must drop down onto the roadway to exit on the bottom right AND a car coming from the top right (going TO the left) has to drop down onto the roadway and exit to the top left.
This seems nigh impossible, especially without cables to make swinging structures.
I'm gonna have to think on this one for awhile before I even start building anything.
Let me know if there is anything I'm missing/have wrong.
The purpose of the hydraulics is to open or close the connection between the roads.
The ship travels under the bridge.
Check again the sequence of the phases.
btw: sorry for the "fase" mistake... is phase
phase 1 - A truck drives from the bottom right to the top left tunnel.
phase 2 - Hydraulics phase
phase 3 - A truck drives to the left between the two bottom tunnels
phase 4 - Hydraulics phase
phase 5 - A truck then moves back (to the right) across the bottom, and at the same time the boat passes underneath. (fixed)
phase 6 - Hydraulics phase
phase 7 - A truck travels back down (from top left tunnel) and at the same time a car drives across the top to the right.
END

Well, your design is cool, but I must be missing something. How can the truck move back to the right (phase 5) with the top road down (hydraulics at rest) and blocking the route from left to right?

The truck can move back to the right (phase 5) with the top road down.
Then takes place the phase 6 (hydraulics), and in phase 7 both roads (up and down) are open to the car and the truck.
The first image is when the hydraulics are in rest.
Then the position of the decks are fine for phase 1 and phase 5.
The second image, is when the hydraulics was operated.
On this position of the decks are fine for phase 3 and phase 7.
If the truck in phase 5 moves across the bottom road from left to right when the road is down (first image), how does it get through the roadway? Again, I must be missing something.

We are talking about the Complex 6 level, right?
"If the truck in phase 5 moves across the bottom road from left to right when the road is down (first image)," <<< stop here !!!
HERE,
the hydraulics phase takes place, and set the position shown on the second image.
then, the truck can cross the road in down , and the car can cross the road above
OK. I finished the level. Here is the correct order of events:
A. A truck passes from the bottom right to the top left.
B. Hydraulics phase.
C. A truck passes from the bottom right to the bottom left.
D. Hydraulics phase.
E. A truck passes from the top left to the top right while the boat passes underneath. (The truck had a tendancy to fall THROUGH the roadway on me.)
F. Hydraulics phase.
G. A truck passes from bottom left to bottom right and a car passes from top left to top right. (The car also sometimes flew off the road -- crazy driver)
I scored about 5000 pts which is not spectacular, but not too bad. I was pleased with my solution.
Well done! i'm glad for you, because you can solve the puzzle without significant help.
the level: Complex 6
This is the images of the my final solution with less hydraulics.

OK, after a short hiatus, I'm BAAAAACK....
Complex 7 is giving me fits again. I can't figure out what to do with the back anchors (if anything). I can make a fairly stable structure utilizing the ten heavy steel beams, but it still keeps breaking right in the middle no matter what I do.
Help!!

Just wait for Complex 8
My first complex 7 are made with iron steel and heavy steel.
But i built another with Iron only!
