Extra content not being unlocked in 1.4?

I beat the game on normal, but the only thing that was unlocked was 2 player collection, even though it says that the game must be beaten on hard for that to be unlocked. I'm sure I did it on normal, because ludicrous mode hasn't been unlocked yet. Any suggestions?

You seem to say hard and ludicrous are the same... they're not. And hard is available without unlocking anything.
Easy = after running out of lives you start in the same level
Medium = after running out of lives you start in the same chapter
Hard = after running out of lives you have to start over
Ludicrous = die once and you're gone

Ludicrous Is indeed a mode, But that doesn't mean die once & you're gone, if you manage to get to satan, you can get unlimited live's
