Opening joint doesn't open on drawbridge

Hi,
I am stuck at the first drawbridge. The hydraulics activate but the opening links never open and it therefore tears the bridge down Any idea why?

PS: Running on the latest Version of Mac OS on last years iMac.

Did you place a "break joint" at the point on the bridge that you want to separate? Also make sure you have a hydraulic attached to the break joint or it will not separate.
