The version 1.10 patch is actually ready right now, I am just doing final testing before putting it up.  It includes some changes and fixes, but no new content.  The new content should be ready in about a week.

So, I couldn't help but notice the movie gameplay demo footage running at something like 2x normal.  (right?)  And since it looked so incredibly cool and exciting, I have to ask:  What are the chances of getting to play the game, or even a small part of it, at faster than "normal" speed?  I realize that movie was probably just sped up, but it seems like running around at that rate would feel so responsive and exciting.  Though I could also imagine that speed making the game that much more difficult for a beginner.

So, maybe an option in the future?  An editor feature (fingers crossed) when that comes out?  Or is there some other issue like physics modeling that would make speeding up difficult, impossible, or extremely processor intensive and undesirable?

I guess that's it for right now...

and why haven't I seen the stuff at the end of the video in the game?

The speed in some of the scenes is faster than in the game, the program we used to make the movie had the wrong settings (thats what happens when you do the trailer at 2 am after working all day).  We are going to have a turbo mode in the next version which should be done this week.

I just looked at the trailer again:

I have to say that I'm playing
with the same speed as in the trailer.
So check your hardware,
perhaps you will have to upgrade
to get it faster.

Sweet. Turbo mode sounds like a helluva lot of fun.

What sort of new content will you be adding?

And ... could we get another ETA? :)

Err... even having fixed my framerate problems with better drivers, Gish still moves as if through treacle. Just very smoothly. I'd agree that I'm seeing about half the speed shown in that video. Are we supposed to see the speed in the trailers?

The very end of the movie with the swings over lava runs at normal speed.  (I believe)  Watch the timer for the best clue.
